How Much Does Truck Door Lettering Cost?

What truck and van door lettering costs, what changes the price, and how to order a set with your company name, logo and USDOT number.

What it usually costs

A set of door lettering for both doors usually runs $85 to $175, depending on the size, the number of lines, and whether it includes a logo. Prices are for a set of two, one for each door. The product page always shows the current price.

What changes the price

  • Size. Taller and wider lettering uses more vinyl.
  • Number of lines. A name only costs less than a name, phone number, website and slogan.
  • A logo. A logo adds the design and the cutting. We design a simple logo for you at no extra charge when you order a logo set (5 concepts and 1 revision).
  • Special order colors. Colors we do not keep in stock are ordered in for your job and can cost more.

What is included

  • Cast vinyl cut in Arizona (ORACAL 751 for most colors, 3M 7125 for matte black).
  • Transfer tape on top, ready to apply to a clean surface.
  • Ships nationwide, most orders the next business day.

Why cheaper is not always cheaper

A low price often means calendered vinyl, which can shrink and lift at the edges on a truck door. Cast vinyl costs more per foot but lasts longer outdoors. See cast vs calendered vinyl.

Do you need a DOT number on the door?

If your truck is used in interstate commerce and meets the weight rules, yes. See our USDOT number marking rules.
