What are vinyl graphics?
Vinyl graphics is an industry standard for adding letters, numbers and logos to any smooth surface like vehicles, store front glass or banners etc..

How does it work?
Your art is converted to layers based on the colors and mechanically cut into a roll of colored vinyl. What's not needed is peeled and discarded, what's left is your art ready to be applied!

What is the cost of vinyl graphics?
Our pricing is determined by the size of your art, the number of colors and the complexity of the artwork.

What are the decals and graphics made of?

We offer both high performace and an intermediate vinyl to fit your needs.

Will the decals last a long time?
The average life expectancy for intermediate vinyl is 3 to 5 and high performance vinyl is 7 to 8 years.

What are the differences in decal quality?
There are many different manufacturers of raw vinyl material used to make the decals. Obviously the cheaper materials yield less lower quality products.

How long have you been making decals?
We have been in the sign industry since 2000.

What size decal should I get?
Measuring for custom decals is simple. Using a tape measure or yard stick, estimate the total width (left to right) and height (up and down) for your desired decal.

The recommended way to measure the size you would need for side graphics. Start the measurement from the front tires center and end at the length you specify and pick the closes larger size in the drop down menu. If the designs shows a front bumper piece, its included but not needed for measurement.

What color would look good on my car?
When choosing a color for a decal which is to be installed on a car window, keep in mind that if you are installing on a window, that surface is naturally dark, so dark colored decals are not as visible (black, dk blue, dk green). We suggest lighter colors such as silver, white yellow or gold colors which might accent the vehicle's other areas (wheels, interior, etc.)

How long does the process take?
The part of the process that we like spending the majority of the time is the development of the concept that will go on the vehicle. The length of this depends directly on how much direction you already have for the graphics. After the graphic stage is finalized and we enter production it takes between 3 to 5 days to have the wrap fully installed on a midsize vehicle.

Can the wrap be removed later?
Absolutely. The wrap is actually stacked to the vehicle using heat and pressure-sensitive adhesives that can be reactivated by our installers. The removal process is very short.

How long will the wrap stay on my vehicle?
Normally, a wrap can stay between 4 to 6 years on the vehicle depending on the treatment that is given to it.

Can I pressure wash my vehicle after the vinyl is installed?
We highly recommend NOT to pressure wash the vehicle after installation of the vinyl. Some pressure washers can potentially lift up the vinyl because of improper use of the water pressure. The wrap is an investment to your marketing and advertising strategy and thus it should be protected.

Do I have to wash my vehicle before installation?
Yes. All vehicles have to be free of dust, mud, pollen, and other agents that may slow down the installation process.

How long do you need my vehicle for installation?
Installation normally takes between one and two days depending on how much coverage has to be applied.

Can you come up with the graphics?
Absolutely!  Our customers communicate to us what they want in the wrap. Then they supply us with their logos, photos, and other supporting images, and we then create the graphics in a format that best fits the vehicle. Most commonly our clients have photos or images from their business that they want on the wrap and we can use them. There are other cases in which our clients have to purchase photos for their campaign.

Will it damage my paint?
No. If your vehicle still has its factory paint. The material used actually protects your paint-job from minor scratches

How much does it cost?
Every project has its own set of variables.  Pricing is directly linked with coverage and types of vinyl used.

What is Heat Transfer Printing?

Heat printing, also known as heat transfer printing, is the process of transferring heat-applied materials to various items (or substrates) using a heat press.

Generally speaking, the term "heat printing" refers to the personalization and customization of garments, other textiles, and hard goods using a heat press. There is a wide variety of material that can be applied through heat printing, from heat transfer vinyls (commonly used on athletic uniforms), heat transfer materials featuring special effects (such as glow-in-the-dark or reflective properties), and screen printed transfers, to name just a few. Heat printing products are also referred to as heat applied graphics and heat transfers.

There are several options for garment decoration, such as screen printing, direct-to-garment printing, and embroidery. Heat printing can be used in place of other methods or to supplement them. Learn more about heat transfer printing in the following sections.

Heat Transfer Material

Often used for production of letters and numbers on T-shirts and jerseys, this method involves heat application of designs cut from vinyl, which is available in a variety of colors, textures, and effects (i.e. reflective, glow-in-the-dark, etc.). These designs can be pre-ordered from a manufacturer or custom-cut in-house using vinyl cutting equipment. Heat transfer material images are sturdy and long-lasting, and can be applied easily (using a heat press) to a number of different garments and accessories in any quantity.

Photo-quality designs cannot be applied using this method and each design must be individually cut and weeded (excess vinyl removed from around the image). Complex patterns thus can prove problematic.

Start-up costs include a heat press and supplies. For smaller operations an inventory of pre-cut letters and numbers may prove sufficient, but as the business expands the need for in-house production may present itself. Vinyl cutters can range in price from $500-$2000, and need to be stocked with rolls of vinyl in various colors.

Digital Printing

Digital printing describes any process which produces long-lasting full color transfers. Extremely versatile, digital printing allows images and graphics with fine details to be applied to both light and dark-colored garments. Digital printing options include printable heat transfer material, dye sublimation, and Direct to garment printing.

Printable Heat Transfer Material

Combining the durability of heat transfer vinyl with the ability to produce high-quality images, this method involves using a printer/cutter to produce an image which is then weeded and heat applied. Designs can be custom-ordered from a manufacturer or produced using in-house equipment. Great for low-quantity jobs and personalization; durable full color images can be applied to garments and accessories of any color.

For in-house equipment, start-up costs can be quite high and the equipment can come with a steep learning curve.

When ready to store your vinyl banner for future use, make sure the banner is completely clean & dry.

  • If banner is dirty and it needs to be cleaned, we recommend to lay the banner flat on a clean surface and wash it with soap water or non solvent detergents (no petroleum based detergents) then rinse with water.
  • Be sure your vinyl banner is completely dry on both sides before storing.
  • Next, go ahead and roll your banner with the graphic printed side out, insert it in to the poly bag that you received your banner in and then place it in the box.

IMPORTANT:
Please do not fold your Vinyl banner, roll very tight or very loose to avoid crease marks and cracking to appear on your vinyl banner permanently.
Please be sure to save the box and poly tube bag that you received your vinyl banner in for storing.
Please ensure your banner is completely dry before to avoid mildew

Preparing Surface
  • Before affixing magnetic sheet to a metal surface, be sure all surface paints, clear coats and waxes are cured (hardened).*
  • Clean the metallic surface and the magnet with mild detergent.
  • Wipe with a soft cloth or allow to dry.
  • (Approximate curing times: paint—90 days; clear coat—60 days; wax—2 days.)
Applying Car Magnet
  • Before applying, test all inks and paints used on the magnet for adhesion and solvent compatibility.
  • Affix to smooth, flat or gently curved metallic surfaces.
  • Make sure the entire magnet is flat against the metal surface. Do not place over protrusions (molding, decals, pin striping, etc.) or concave areas. There must be NO air pockets.
  • The magnet itself should be at a room temperature of 60°F (16°C) or above when installed to achieve best results.
  • Do not apply magnet that has been curled with the magnet side out. The magnet may not attach properly to the metallic surface resulting in lifted corners or air gaps which will weaken its holding strength. Follow instructions for Storing Flexible Magnet.
  • If you place the magnet in the wrong position, completely remove the magnet from the surface and reaffix. Lift at sides and not at corners to remove. Do not pull the magnet across the surface, or it may stretch due to the resistance caused by the high magnetic strength.
  • Do NOT use on horizontal metal surfaces exposed to direct sunlight (such as automobile hoods), temperatures exceeding 160ºF (71ºC) or temperatures below -15ºF (-26ºC). Exposure to cold weather will make the magnet more brittle so use caution when handling.
  • Be aware that long-term use on surfaces frequently exposed to sunlight (such as vehicles) can result in uneven fading of the surface because the magnet-covered area is shielded from ultraviolet rays.
  • Do NOT use on non-metallic body fillers, simulated wood grain siding and repainted surfaces.
  • NOTE: Doors and panels on some vehicles are not made of steel. This product will not work on aluminum and plastic surfaces.
  • We recommend rounded corners for magnetic vehicle signage.
Cleaning Car Magnets
  • To guard against moisture and dirt buildup between the magnet and the metal surface (particularly on outdoor applications), remove the magnet at regular intervals. Clean both the magnet and metal surface with mild detergent; wipe with a soft cloth or allow to air-dry. (For vehicle-mounted signs, remove and clean DAILY.)
  • After waxing and polishing, allow 2 days for wax to cure before applying magnets.
Storing
  • When not using flexible car magnets, keep it in a clean, dry place.
  • Store rolled stock on end to keep it from developing flat spots.
  • Store rolled sign material on end with the printed or vinyl side out.
  • Stack flat car magnet on a level surface. Avoid placing objects (such as cartons) on top that could damage the face; do not stack with magnetic sides facing each other.

In most cases we can come close to matching your desired colors. However, in many cases what you see on your computer monitor will not match the printed image. When banner making, we can come close to the colors you want.  If exact colors are needed, please consult with our customer service representative for further details (888) 790-2665.

Our full color outdoor banners can last up to three years even when permanently installed outdoors.

Unfortunately, most web images are saved in very low resolution by web designers to make sure images load quickly on web sites.
If web images are used for sign making, this will result in very poor print quality, usually web images are created and save with 72 dpi resolution at a very small size and if used for banner making or sign printing, results will be unacceptable.

For a digital print banners, we can print your logo on the banner and can use almost any high quality logo artwork.

For digital banners we can certainly give you suggestions, and layout ideas, but we require "ready-to-print" artwork, or fees will be incurred. Please call customer service representative (888) 790-2665 for any questions regarding this subject.
